Deusdendit Kakoko highlighted the authority’s readiness to deal with Ugandan business community in transporting their Cargo once it reaches the Eat African Coast enroute to Kampala.

“Am calling upon the Ugandan business community to use our ports especially Dar es salaam and Tanga ports so as to cut transportation costs and increase efficiency. As the TPA we are prepared to keep improving on the services so that our clients benefit from reduced costs,” said Kakoko.

He observed that there is substantial commercial and trade opportunities between Uganda and Tanzania and the key to its success is having stable and cheaper transport network.

“We are ready to serve the Ugandan community both in times of prosperity and in times of challenges that is why we want to serve you at reduced costs.
