Tanzania national Under-17 team are the winners of the 2019 Rwanda FA (FERWAFA) Invitational tournament in Kigali.
The Swahili-speaking side was invited to the three-man tournament as guests together with Cameroon.
The tournament kicked off on April 1st.
Tanzania beat Cameroon 2-1 in their first match before settling for a draw in a six-goal thriller against the hosts at the Nyamirambo stadium in Kigali on Friday.
The hosts, Rwanda, failed to register a single victory in their own tournament losing 3-1 to Cameroon in the opening game and the 3-3 draw in the final game.
The Tanzanians, who collected four points overall, were crowned champions, Cameroon came second while the hosts were last.
The Serengeti Boys and Cameroon were both using the tournament to prepare fir the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations that will hosted in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 14th to 28th this month.
Tanzania is in group A with their East African rival Uganda, Nigeria and Angola while Cameroon is in B alongside Guinea, Morocco and Senegal.
