Uganda Cranes right back Nicholas Wadada has been nominated for the 2019/2020 Vodacom Tanzania Premier League season’s best player accolade.
This follows his impressive performance exhibited while featuring for Azam FC in the just concluded season which was clinched by Simba Sports Club.
The roving right back managed to score one goal with eight assists in the league helping Azam finish in third place on 70 points, two shy of Young Africans.
Wadada who renewed his contract with the moneybags will stay at the club until the climax of next season.
His teammates Idd Nado and Obrey Chirwa have also been shortlisted for the Most Valuable Player gong as well.
The list also has Ugandan born Rwanda international Meddie Kagere whose goal tally for the recent campaign stopped at 22 and drove Simba SC to Championship.
Others are Simba SC’s player of the season Clatous Chama who scored two goals plus 10 assists, joining the company of Shomari Kapombe, Aishi Manula, Francis Kahata, John Bocco, Jonas Mkude and Luis Miquissone.
The 30 player will later be trimmed to 10 before naming the top three podium finishers ahead of the crowning ceremony held at Mlimani City Hall on Friday 7th August 2020.
