Police have in custody a man suspected to have participated in the March 2015 murder of state Prosecutor Joan Kagezi.
Kagezi was gunned down by unknown men riding on a bodaboda, as she retired to her residence in Kiwatule.
She was at that time in charge of a case implicating suspects of the 2010 Kampala terror attacks, which is set to resume at the High court.
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga tells ChimpReports the arrested person is believed to have been part of the killers of Mrs Kagezi.
Enanga says they are yet to recover the killer weapon and are still following about three leads to everybody that was involved in the murder.
“There’s still a lot of information we are getting. The operations are ongoing and we will be making more arrests,” he said.
Meanwhile State has finalized all arrangements for the terrorism case to proceed; getting Kagezi’s replacements and the case is slated to resume on June 8, 2015 at the High Court in Kampala, before the trial judge, Alphonse Owiny-Dolo.
