StarTimes Uganda has this morning launched a new brand app known as ‘StarTimes ON’ which they said is meant for OTT business.
With the new development, the original StarTimes app has been upgraded to ‘StarTimes ON’ that provides live TV, video on demand (VOD) and short videos with covering News, sports, movies, series, Music & entertainment documentaries among others.
StarTimes ON is believed to be Africa’s number one online video and TV streaming service dedicated to providing ultimate entertainment and enriched experience. One cannot access the StarTimes ON if they are using VPN; it then mandates him or her to have paid for OTT service to be able to use it.
While addressing journalist this morning at their offices in Kampala, Aldrine Nsubuga Vice President in charge of marketing at StarTimes Uganda revealed that the app will enable online users access local and international channels on line while enjoying a diverse and rich contents.
“More excellent international and local channels will be put online and diverse & rich contents will always be the core of StarTimes ON service,” Nsubuga revealed.
Nsubuga also added that one does not necessarily need to be a StarTimes subscriber to be able to use the app neither does one have to own a TV for the app’s service.
“You don’t have to be a StarTimes subscriber to access this app neither do you need to own a TV. All you need is your smart phone. As StarTimes, we believe that many people own smart phones and we thought it necessary to introduce StarTimes ON app that will enable them catch their favorite programs anywhere in the country,” said Nsubuga.
StarTimes ON comes with a 5% discount, big bonuses on the first payment and International channels like Novela E plus for telenovelas, AMC series,St Bollywood, ST Kunfu,Fox life ,BBC World news and popular local FTA channels like Bukedde TV 1,NTV,NBS among others are already on.
