South Africans warn URA

Buganda Regional football administrators have borrowed a leaf from their mother association, medicine Fufa and started a regional league.

Muzafalu Ssebaggala, ampoule the Chief Executive Officer Buganda Regional football, explains that the league will be used to determine the two teams that will represent the region in the Fufa Women Elite League next season.

“Buganda has two slots in the Fufa Women league and we will use our own league to determine the teams to represent us,” Ssebaggala tells ChimpSport.

The league that has six teams kicks off on Saturday 14th March, 2015 with Tagy High Entebbe hosting Kakungulu Memorial at Katabi/Entebbe in the opening game.

Other fixtures will see Rhines S.S play London College Nansana at Namusera Umea on Sunday 15th and Mutesa 1 Royal University taking on Dynamic S.S at Rubaga Girls on Wednesday 18th.

The league teams: Tagy High School (Entebbe), Kakungulu Memorial, Mutesa 1 Royal University, Dynamic S.S, London College Nansana and Rhines S.S.

Tinkler added that he is taking things slow, thus handling game at a time. “We are taking things slow, handling one game at a time and it’s all we can do”. He told the news conference.

URA left this morning for South Africa aboard Ethiopian airlines but without their influential striker Robert Ssentongo who saw red in the last game against Elgeco Plus of Madagascar.

But URA coach Alex Isabirye believes that without Ssentongo and Ochan, the available players can still perform well and get a good result away in Johannesburg.

“Yes I know Orlando Pirates is a big team and will be comfortable playing at home. But they should not take us for granted because we are going for serious business,” added the URA FC Coach.

The match will be handled by by Zimbabwe FIFA referees, Ruzive Ruzive (centre) Tapfumanei Mutengwa, Salani Ncube, Thabani Bamala and Match commissioner from Namibia Matheus Joel Amadhila.
