Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima said Mageza was being driven by a one George Waigumbuli when the Pajero brand vehicle registration number UAY 259H hit a pavement and crashed.

Waigumbuli and his wife Racheal Namuli who also was in the car, sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at hospitals in Kampala.

The Entebbe expressway remains dark pending installation of street lights.

The accident underscores the need to regulate traffic on the road especially at night until the road is lit up.
