Africa is mourning the death of one of its most talented actors Sibusiso Kwinana.
The South African actor, who is famous for his lead role in ‘Matwetwe’ movie, was stabbed to death in Pretoria on Friday night.
According to the executive producer of the newly-released film (‘Matwetwe’) DJ Black Coffee, the 25-year-old actor and a friend were allegedly attacked over a cellphone.
Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said the police have opened a murder and robbery case and pledge to bring the criminals connected to the case, to book.
“It is alleged that the deceased and his friend were at the corner of Pretorius and Steve Biko streets, when the deceased was accosted by the suspect, who demanded his cellphone.
As they were wrestling for the cellphone, the deceased was allegedly stabbed with a sharp object on the upper body. He was certified dead on the scene,” Masondo said.
Khwinana is believed was attending a screening of the movie at a cinema in the city center, when the alleged robbery took place.
‘Matwetwe’ was produced by world-renowned DJ Black Coffee and comedian Kagiso Lediga known for ‘Catching Feelings’ movie.
