Uganda Premier League outfit Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club has acquired the services of left winger Joseph Akandwanaho.
Akandwanaho joins Bright Stars on a two-year contract from FUFA Big League side Nyamityobora Football Club.
He joined Nyamityobora FC four years ago and helped the club gain promotion to the top flight in 2018/2019. Important to note is the fact that the club’s status UPL didn’t go beyond one season.
He joins forward Samuel Ssekamatte Kayongo, goalkeeper Benson Wagima, midfielder Jamil Kisitu Nvule, Emmanuel Loki, Gabriel Elagu, Simon Peter Ssemayange and Warren Bule as the other new recruit at the club.
The club has also renewed contracts for midfielder Henry Kiwanuka, right back Andrew Kaggwa (two years), central defender Derrick Ngobi (one year), and striker Joseph Jjanjali (two years).
Last season, Soltilo Bright Stars finished in the 12th position of the UPL log with 29 points from 25 matches.
