The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has named a stadium Adhoc committee that will be tasked to inspect all the stadia across the country before the kick-off of the 2020/21 football season.
The six-man committee was confirmed during the 23rd FUFA Executive Committee meeting held on Tuesday.
“The FUFA Stadium Adhoc Committee will undertake inspection of all stadiums submitted by clubs for use ahead of the 2020/2021 season. The Adhoc Committee will submit stadium reports to the FUFA Licensing Committee responsible for issuance of Licenses,” read the FUFA statement.
FUFA Executive Committee member John Chrizestom Kalibbala is the committee chairman while FUFA Club Licensing manager Ivan Kintu Bayige is the secretary.
The Committee also comprises of four members in former FIFA Referee Mark Ssonko, former Uganda Cranes coach Frank “Video” Anyau, former Uganda Cranes midfielder Dan Obote and Annet Nakimbugwe.
On Thursday, the committee started its work with the inspection of the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, the home to UPL defending Champions Vipers SC.
