Local singer Zanie Brown through her ‘Zanie Brown 4 Schools’ foundation, has announced bursary opportunities for the less privileged but academically excellent students joining secondary school this year.
Speaking to Chimplyf, Zanie Brown disclosed that she intends to help learners from secondary school level to University and probably helping them get jobs as well.
“Our intention is to take on Learners from Secondary school level up to University including and not limited to canvasing for them jobs once done with their professional qualifications/careers,”
Zanie Brown also added that the approach will help her foundation create human resource in years to come in a way that those helped will be able to give back to the same bursary scheme for its sustainability which will enable it help others as well.
So many schools have partnered with her foundation but most of them wish to remain anonymous at the moment and the foundation wishes to respect their position in the partnership.
The singer also revealed that she will be launching half bursaries soon for determined students in vocational schools.
The ‘Zanie Brown 4 Schools’ foundation will offer bursaries for orphans who performed well in the recently concluded Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) 2018 and attained 4-5 aggregates.
For one to qualify, he or she should be a Ugandan by nationality and with proof that they are orphans.
