Simba Sports Club was for the third time in a row declared champions of the 2019/2020 Vodacom Tanzania Premier League with six games to spare.
This follows Simba’s goalless draw with Tanzania Prisons on matchday 32 in a game played at the Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya city on Sunday evening.
The result took Simba SC to 79 points going 19 points clear of second placed Young Africans, sealing the championship.
Young Africans is currently second on the 20 team log with 60 points, one ahead of Uganda Cranes Nicholas Wadada’s Azam FC.
Simba SC who have now clinched their 21st league title going one better of Young Africans, will now represent the country in next season’s CAF Champions League.
