Shumuk Boss’s Case File Missing



Hearing of the forgery case against the Shumuk Group of Companies proprietor Mukesh Shukla before Buganda Road grade one magistrate Stella Amabirisi has been pushed to 14th December 2018

The matter had come up today for mention but when asked on the level at which the investigations have reached, prosecution informed court that they were not in possession of the Police file of this case

The Magistrate adjourned the matter to enable the state Prosecutor Mariam Njuki to study the file and present it before court with a clear position

Mukesh who is currently on bail was charged last week with 13 counts of forgery and uttering false documents but later was released on bail

Prosecution alleges that on 17th April 2015 while Kampala city with intent to defraud, forged a letter for the official hand over of Hotel Diplomat purported to have been signed by a number of people who included the late Bonney Katatumba, Anne Katatumba, Angella Katatumba, Rudikiwa Katatumba, and ASP William Chegera.
