Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC put up a sublime performance on Sunday to outwit She Corporate 3-0 and move top of the table in Victoria group of the FUFA Women Elite League.
Striker Juliet Nalukenge scored twice before substitute Brenda Nakayenga added the other to guide Kawempe to a comfortable win.
She Corporate head coach Ali Zinda was quick to concede that his opponents were the better team on the day and deserved to win.
” It is a tough loss to take but that is football. I think Kawempe Muslim were the better team on the day and deserved to win,” he said after the game on Sunday.
It was the first time that She Corporate were conceding this season after keeping clean sheets in their opening three games.Zinda indicated the result was humiliating but they will go back to try and rectify the mistakes.
” We had not conceded in our first three games but it was humiliating that we shipped in three goals in one game. We shall go back and try to address the mistakes before our next game.”
The coach also conceded that his team is short of lethal strikers and that’s why they have struggled to find goals. The Sharks have only managed one goal in their four games with the goal coming in their 1-0 win over Asubo Gafford Ladies courtesy of Sarah Namulindwa.
” I agree we still have a big challenge in striking department but as coaches we are trying hard to make sure we find solutions.” Said Zinda.
The loss meant She Corporate remained 5th on the table in Victoria group on five points.
