Young and promising goalkeeper Bashir Sekagya will be on the Vipers SC books with the deal in the final stages.
Ssekagya who had descent performance in the second round of the league despite his club UPDF FC suffering relegation has reportedly agreed a deal in principle.
It is believed the shot stopper will put pen to paper on a three year deal and is seen as a direct replacement of James Alitho who is out of contract.
With Ismail Watenga’s future at St.Mary’s stadium also not certain, Sekagya would be one of the goalkeepers to look at. The former is however in negotiations with Vipers SC to renew his contract.
Sekagya had a good run at the army side since joining them at the start of this year. Memorable among the 15 games he played for UPDF FC include the 1-0 win against SC Villa and the 2-0 loss to KCCA FC.
Vipers SC are active in the transfer market given the fact that a number of players have run out of contracts and could be moving elsewhere.
Erisa Ssekisambu, Deus Bukenya, Duncan Sseninde, Shafik Bakaki, Musa Malunda,James Alitho,Ismail Watenga and Brian Nkuubi are all free agents at the moment.
The league champions are linked to several players including Villa forward Martin Kiiza, KCCA FC winger Paul Mucureezi and Kirinya Jinja SS duo of Joel Madondo and Godfrey Akol.
