Kampala High Court judge Anglin Senoga has convicted Muhammad Sebuufu, the proprietor of Pine Car Bond in Kampala on murder charges.
Sebuufu and seven of his co-accused were this morning found guilty by the High Court for the murder of businesswoman Betty Donah Katushabe.
The convicts are said to have kidnapped and beaten Katushabe to death after she failed to clear a debt with the bond.
The conviction ruling however, is contrary to the decision reached by the court assessors in this matter, who recently asked court to dismiss the case on grounds that prosecution failed to prove the murder allegations beyond reasonable doubt.
In her ruling however, the the judge said she was satisfied by the prosecution submissions and witnesses that the accused committed all the three offenses.
The accused were charged with murder, aggravated robbery and kidnap with intent to murder.
As such the court cancelled the bail of Sebuufu and his co-accused.
