Sebulime’s Murder Suspect Sent Back to Luzira

Mukono grade one magistrate Mariam Naluggya has remanded back to Luzira Corporal David Ssali a police officer accused of murdering Ronald Sebulime, who was suspected of trailing Minster Hon Aidah Nantaba on her way from Kayunga to Kampala

This followed a request by the state prosecutor Reachel Namutebi for an adjournment to 21st March 2016 for further mention since investigations in the matter are still underway.

The adjournment however, was not welcomed by Sebulime’s family, who described it as a waste of time.

These claim there is enough evidence to have the suspect committed to High Court for trial.

“The death is not in contention, we already have a post-mortem report which shows that the deceased died as a result of bullets, we need justice by bringing in court more suspects in the same case to be charged,” said Mr Muwada Nkunyingi.

Its alleged that 43-year-old Corporal Ssali on 24th March 2019 shot dead Ronald Sebulime who was riding on a motorbike and he was suspected of trailing Minster Hon Aida Nantaba with an intention of harming her.

It was later established that after his arrest Sebulime was dumped on a Police Patrol truck on which he was removed and shot dead
