Sebastien Desabre Officially Unveiled as Uganda Cranes Coach

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has this afternoon unveiled a new Coach for the National Senior Men’s team, the Uganda Cranes.

Sebastien Desabre, 41, who recently left his duty at El Ismaily (Egypt) is the appointed Coach. He will be assisted by Mathias Lule and Fred Kajoba (Goal keeping Coach).

FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Edgar Watson speaking at the unveiling said:

“Am glad today because we are here to announce our new National A team coach.

“The selection process has involved the Uganda government through the National Council of Sports and the Sports ministry; I therefore welcome Sebastien Desabre as our new Coach.”

Desabre, in his words briefly said: “Am very honoured to be here, I have to thank the Federation for the confidence you have put in me.

“It’s a big step in my career for as I start with the National team and am here to improve on the team’s performance.”

Desabre beat Moses Basena (Uganda), Emilia Ferrera (Belgium) and Jonathan McKintry (Northen Ireland) as the other candidates on the job.
