Sports Club Villa has confirmed signing former Express Football Club left back Andrew Kiwanuka as the second official club signing.
Kiwanuka who penned a two-year contract with the Jogoos was confirmed on Friday joining goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige who had been unveiled the day before.
The left back was among the long list of players that were axed by Express coach Wasswa Bbosa as the club’s squad for the forthcoming season takes shape.
“I feel very excited to join SC Villa. I hope to help the club achieve more success,” Kiwanuka said in a brief video posted by SC Villa.
At Villa, he will vie for a starting position with fellow left backs in Yayo Lutimba and Derrick Ndahiro.
The club is also in advanced talks with another left back in Duncan Senninde who is currently a free agent having terminated his contract with Vipers Sports Club on mutual consent.
The Jogoos are also expected to unveil midfielder Goffin Godfrey Oyirwoth who is said to have agreed on a possible move to play at Mandela National Stadium next campaign.
