SC Villa Signs Goalie Kibirige, Midfielder Oyirwoth

Sports Club Villa has reportedly secured two acquisitions in its bid to strengthen the squad going into the 2020/2021 season earmarked for October.

The Uganda Premier League record winners have signed goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige and midfielder Goffin Godfrey Oyirwoth, both penning two-year deals.

Shotstopper Kibirige joins the Jogoos from relegated side Tooro United Football Club. He is a replacement for Samson Kirya who left for Wakiso Giants FC.

Kibirige will now fight for the starting slot with experienced custodian Saidi Keni who recently committed his future at Namboole for two more years.

For the former Buddo Secondary School student Goffin, he has been clubless since parting ways with Express FC last year.

SC Villa has already lost a bunch of players in Ambrose Kirya, Samson Kirya, Bashir Mutanda, Charles Lwanga, Albert Mugisa, among many others and are believed to be in race to capture the signatures of Sam Kintu and Sadam Maseruka.
