SC Villa Out to Arrest Crisis as They Host URA FC

SC Villa vs URA FC -4pm, Namboole

At this stage of the campaign last season, SC Villa were prominently featuring in title winning conversations. Now they have to collect some points avoid dominating relegation conversations.

Head coach Moses Basena will lead his charges against URA FC with an aim of collecting maximum points.

Villa has fired blanks in the opening games as they look blunt in front of goal.

Joseph Semujju, team captain Ambrose Kirya and Mike Sserumaga are yet to find the required consistence in the final third.

Actually, Kirya had to be hurled off by Basena in the 3-1 loss to Villa with the manager revealing at the end of the game that he had failed to give the team the final ball to the forwards.

Forward Ajab Abdulrahman is far from convincing while Albert Mugisa only played his second game in the loss to Vipers. His debut came against Bright Stars FC.

The team will be boosted by the return of Edgar Luzige from injury as they forge a way through their transition having lost most of the players from last season.

However, the Villa that has failed to register a win in their opening four rounds of games will be expected to face an even tougher challenge against the tax collectors.

There is a semblance of seriousness about the current URA side led by coach Sam Ssimbwa.

The side has only conceded once this campaign and are still unbeaten having won two and drawn as many to start the campaign.

The core of their team that features former Villa midfielder Vitalis Tabu and defender Patrick Mbowa, Shafik Kagimu and Peter Lwasa has done the job thus far.

Tabu has started his URA stint with two goals and will be key against his former employers.

The tax collectors are fourth on the log having collected 8 points while their opponents are second from bottom with just 2 points.
