On Monday, Midfielder Goffin Geofrey Oyirwoth was officially unveiled his new club having signed a two-year deal.
The 20-year old midfielder joins the 16-time Uganda Premier League Champions having departed from Regional League side Katwe United at the end of last season.
In a video posted on SC Villa’s official facebook page, Oyirwoth expressed his happiness after joining the great club and pledged to give his all.
“I have always wanted to be part of this great club and now that my opportunity has arrived, I will serve with pride and honor. I can promise the Jogoos’ fans that when the season begins, we will make them proud,” Goffin said.
He added, “I am glad to be part of the Jogoo legacy and I’m happy to have teammates who have welcomed me so well.”
Oyirwoth started his career at Superheroes United football Academy before joining Buddo SS and later Express in January 2019. He also played for Typhoon in the Futsal Super League.
The midfielder becomes the third player to sign for the Jogoos prior to the 2020/2021 season after defender Andrew Kiwanuka and goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige.
