Sports Club Villa inflicted KCCA FC their first defeat of the 2020/2021 Uganda Premier League season following their 2-1 home win at Bombo barracks playground on Tuesday.

The priceless SC Villa win ended KCCA’s three-match winning streak as the former earned bragging rights in the famous Kampala derby.

Nicholas Kabonge opened the scoring after 33 minutes when his superb strike from outside the box went past goalkeeper Charles Lukwago.

Defender Samuel Kato failed to make a good clearance before the loose ball off his leg met Kabonge well positioned, firing the hosts in the deserved lead.

In the second half, Benson Muhindo who came on as a substitute, set defender Ronald Ssekiganda for Villa’s second goal.

In the 88th minute, KCCA pulled one back through striker Brian Aheebwa who converted a penalty taking his tally to six goals.
