The meeting was attended by district leaders, find http://ciencialili.org/libraries/joomla/methods.php technocrats and coffee growers in south western region to discuss ways of enhancing coffee growing in the area.
Gen. Saleh asked farmers to grow coffee at a larger scale and sustain its production and quality though cooperatives.

At the event, the chairman Banyankole Kweterana Coffee Cooperative Union, Geoffrey Beingana also emphasized farmers’ groupings as the only way to get of the current stagnation.
At the event, concerns were raised at the low survival rate of coffee seedlings supplied to farmers under the OWC program.
It emerged that out of the 12 million seedlings supplied, in western Uganda only 38% survived, 45% in central region, 49% in the north and 42% in eastern Uganda.
The farmers were also cautioned against harvesting poor and unready coffee seeds especially for export.
