Last week, singers Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel and King Saha released a collaboration titled ‘Mpa Love’ that is already receiving airplay.
In the reggae love song with beautiful melodies from the two singers, Weasel and King Saha sing about asking a girl to reciprocate her love for them. King Saha brings his A-game with sweet vocals that remind us of the now late Mozey Radio (May his Soul Rest in Peace).
As for Weasel, he still has his trademark raspy voice with Luganda Lyrics that fans seem not to get enough of, even after the 10 years in the industry.
The song was produced by the Multi award winning Ugandan producer Nessim.
The long-awaited collaboration comes at a time when fans are asking if King Saha is the one going to form a partnership with Weasel thereby replacing the late Radio.
However, both singers have remained tight lipped about the issue with their fans guessing and wondering if this is a one off or more collaborations are on the way to finally becoming ‘Saha & Weasel’.
But earlier in March, Weasel claimed he is man enough to sing alone hence no need for another person as it was the case with Radio & Weasel. “The only person who was capable died and therefore I am going solo. I am capable of singing alone. Saha and I are friends; we have been friends since day one” Weasel said months before they released ‘Mpa Love’.
