South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to be part of the traditional marriage ceremony of former Prime MinisterAmama Mbabazi’s daughter. The much anticipated event, locally known as ‘Kuhingira’ is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 4th August 2018, at Mbabazi’s residence in Kololo.
The South African first citizen will be in Uganda to witness his son Andile Ramaphosa take a step closer to legalizing his relationship with fiancée Bridget Birungi, daughter to the former premier. ChimpLyf understands that Cyril Ramaphosa will be in the country by the end of the day having traveled from his country via a commercial flight.
His wife, Hope Ramaphosa was first to arrive in the country having jetted in on Wednesday evening, where she was welcomed by Jacqueline Mbabazi. In May this year, the Mbabazi family announced that their daughter would be exchanging vows with the South African First Son, Andile. After this, the Mbabazis and the Ramaphosas will become in-laws.
Bridget is Mbabazi’s niece, who he and his wife raised after her father was killed in the 1980s. Bridget is daughter to Shadrack Rwakairu and Peace Ruhindi.
