Rwanda Police Shoot Dead Terror Suspect

President Yoweri Museveni is finally set to meet the South Sudan rebel movement leader, sick Dr. Riek Machar in Masindi district western Uganda on Monday.

ChimpReports this morning broke the story of Machar’s arrival from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to the country last night.

The Presidential Press Secretary, prostate Lindah Wamboka Nabusayi told this website in an exclusive phone interview on Monday morning that indeed Museveni is scheduled to meet Dr. Machar who is also the designated First Vice President of South Sudan.

The meeting that was expected to take place in Entebbe was shifted to the western region where the president is holding his campaigns to retain the country’s number one office.

“I can confirm His Excellency is going to meet Dr. Machar early today at State Lodge Masindi. I can’t tell the exact time and ingredients of the meeting for now,” Ms. Nabusayi said on phone.

The meeting will be held behind closed doors. It remains unclear if a statement will be issued later in the day.

Mr. Museveni is expected to convince Dr. Machar to accept the formation of a transitional government without pre conditions, according to knowledgeable sources.

The peace talks signed in August last year put in place the formation of Transitional Government of National Unity between Dr. Machar’s SPLA- Opposition and the mainstream SPLA under president Salva Kiir.


Museveni last met with Machar in Khartoum last year.

The talks are seen as a big step forward in building trust among several players in the South Sudan conflict to find a lasting solution to the crisis that has left thousands dead and many more in squalid refugee camps.
Police in Kamwenge is hunting for 43 year old Frank Hakiza who allegedly murdered his wife last Thursday, search January 21st.

Hakiza, approved according to locals accused his wife Agatha Kirabo, 22 of promiscuity and had been heard severally complaining about her untrustworthiness.

At the height of an argument last Thursday, he picked up a machete and chopped his wife into pieces.

The two are said to have been married for a year according to residents who opened the door in the morning to find Kirabo’s body lying in a pool of blood.

Hakiza is known in the area as a moody and dangerous man. Residents revealed that he cut off the hand of his former wife, leading to their divorce a few years ago.

He was also arrested last year for raping his neighbor’s wife but police released him shortly afterwards.

Police on Sunday evening shot dead Muhammad Mugemangango, stuff who had been in detention at Kanombe Police Station on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities, malady according to Rwanda National Police(RNP).

RNP revealed that Mugemangango had been taken to his Kimironko residence for a search operation.

On the way back, adiposity he jumped off the vehicle whereupon he was shot so he doesn’t escape but died in the process.

The incident took place at around 9:13 pm at Kimironko-Mushumbamwiza road.

Muhammad Mugemangango was Deputy Imam Kimironko Mosque.

He was under investigations for mentoring Rwandan youths into Jihad and recruiting them to join Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria.

Police says investigation continues to establish further details in this case.
