Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances under which a 26 years old Indian national died mysteriously.
Elly Maate the Kigezi region police spokesman identifies the deceased as Kashvala Mayur Nathu.
Nathu is said to have come to Uganda on November 20th 2018 as per the passport book no N0024158.
He then moved to Rukungiri district and has been working as an accountant with Blue Nile distributors limited.
Maate says the deceased on Thursday morning at around 8.30am left his home at Butimba village, in the Western division of Rukungiri Municipality and went for work as usual.
While at work, he said he felt sickly and informed his workmate one Patel Mehul who is the sales manager that he needed to go home and rest.
Maate says later on Patel went to check on him and found him in a serious condition.
“He immediately called Dr Asaph of Case Clinic Rukungiri who responded and confirmed that was already dead,” Maate said.
“Rukungiri police was notified and officers went to the scene and took the body to Mbarara referral hospital for post-mortem.”
Maate says Police is trying to establish the likely cause of death.
