Rugby Premier League: Match Day Three Preview

The Uganda Rugby Premier League enters match day three and five fixtures will be on card across different venues.

Three teams have picked maximum points while defending champions Betway Kobs failed to pick a bonus point in their win against Sadolin Mongers.

Buffaloes continue to struggle failing to impress in the first two outings just like Warriors, pharm Impis and Gulu Elephants.

Rams vs Betway Kobs -Makerere Grounds 4:30pm

After failing to pick a bonus point in their 19-10 win over Mongers, prostate defending champions Kobs return to action against Rams who picked their first win last weekend against Gulu Elephants 30-05 at the grave yard.

Kobs sit fourth on the table with 9 points while Rams are 2 places below on five points.

Gulu Elephants vs Makerere Impis -Gulu 4:30pm

This is a battle of wounded sides. Both teams are yet to pick a point this season and occupy the bottom slots.

Gulu Elephants are rock bottom of the table while Impis follow closely in 9th position. The Elephants lost heavily to Kobs in the opening fixture 67-07 before defeat to Rams 30-05 last weekend.

On the other hand Impis have lost to Pirates and Heathens.

Sadolin Mongers vs Shell Rimula Rhinos -Entebbe 4:30pm

Rhinos make the short trip to Entebbe in high gear after a perfect start to the season winning their two games and currently sit second on the table.

Mongers began their season with an away win against Toyota Buffaloes but lost to Betway Kobs last week and will be seeking for redemption at the house of pain as they take on a rejuvenated Rhinos side.

Toyota Buffaloes vs Black Pirates -Legends Rugby ground 4:30pm

Its an awful start to the season for the Buffaloes who have lost their opening two fixtures.

They now take on Pirates who on the contrary have had a flying start winning their two games and currently sit third on the logo with maximum points winning against Warriors and Impis.

Mutoni Warriors vs Hima Cement Heathens -Kyadondo Rugby grounds 4:30pm

Heathens are in fantastic form as expected. However, their wins have come against relatively weaker sides in Rams in match day one winning 62-00 and a comfortable 53-05 win over Impis.

Heathens are top of the logo on 10 points and take on Warriors who are yet to win this season and sit 7th on the 10 team table.
