Grief and shock engulfed residents of Kaara in Muko sub-county, Rubanda district when a 39-year-old pastor committed suicide by hanging.
Bernard Barinabo, a pastor at Ndego Pentecostal church in Ikumba sub-county, Rubanda district was on Friday evening at around 8pm found hanging in a rope in his house by his wife, Martha Barinabo after returning from the gardens.
Barinabo is said to been having financial problems and conflicts with a person (name withheld) with whom they started the said church together.
According to Herbert Byaruhanga, the Muko sub-county LCIII Chairperson, these conflicts could have led him to committing suicide.
They had developed conflicts over ownership of the property.
Rubanda District Police Commander Tai Ramathan confirmed the incident and said that police had commenced the investigations into the matter.
