Former Principal Judge, Herbert Ntabgoba is dead.
Family members said the 81-year-old passed away at International Hospital Kampala (IHK) on Sunday morning.
The judiciary said the deceased has “been in and out of the hospital since December 2019 when he suffered a stroke”.
He was born in 1939 in Kisoro district, western Uganda.
Ntabgoba graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of East Africa in Tanzania in 1966.
In 1973, Ntabgoba was appointed Registrar General, a position he held till 1978.
He served as High Court judge between 1978-1981.
Ntabgoba would later serve as Principal Judge till 2004 when he was succeeded by Justice James Ogoola.
