Javier Martinez’s tenure at SC Vipers is set to come to a bitter ending following the team’s goalless draw with Soana FC.
Despite being the dominant side, the Venoms failed to create scoring opportunites before the final whistle which was greeted by jeers from the home fans.
High placed sources at the club have revealed to this website that Club Chairman Doctor Lawrence Mulindwa is to cancel the Mexican’s contract.
It is believed that many of the top officials at the club have not been contented with the Coach’s display since his arrival, and the sacking has been inevitable.
It should be remembered that Martinez replaced Miguel Da Costa who had led the club to the league triumphin the 2017-18 campaign.
The Mexican, who joined the club after signing a two year deal in early August, was tasked to add value to the players and take the team to CAF Champions League group stages, among others.
Martinez Espinoza has been criticised by many – especially the club fans and members of the press – for tinkering with his starting team.
Despite holding the unbeaten status, the Club has struggled to win matches both home and away.
Martinez had spells with Deportivo Carcha, a Guatemalan football club based in San Pedro Carcha, Juventus FC (Nicaragua), Cruz Azul and also the National Mexico Army team.
