The Ugandan Embassy in Qatar has announced that the earlier communication made concerning stranded Ugandans in the Middle Eastern country to register and be repatriated was prematurely made.
On Sunday 31st May 2020, the Ugandan Embassy in Doha informed Ugandans in the Qatar who wish to get back home to register with the Embassy.
According to the statement issued by the Embassy on Sunday, there would be a flight from Doha to Entebbe on 6th May.
However, according to another statement issued by the same Embassy today Monday 1st June 2020, the Sunday communication was prematurely made and stranded Ugandan citizens in Qatar wishing you get back home will have to wait.
“The Embassy of Uganda in Qatar would like to clarify concerning our earlier communication dated 31st May 2020 on a flight from Doha to Entebbe on 6th June 2020. This is to inform you that the above date was prematurely communicated to you and is not confirmed and therefore request all those who have registered to be patient as Embassy coordinates with Authorities in Uganda on the appropriate arrangements that will be communicated,” the Embassy communicated on Monday.
