Uganda’s Covid19 deaths have now reached 19, the Ministry of Health has announced Thursday.
The Ministry says three new deaths have been recorded which is the highest single day toll so far.

Meanwhile, a total of 94 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the country from yesterday’s tests.
This is also the single highest number of new cases in a day that Uganda has ever recorded.
The breakdown of the 94 new COVID-19 cases is as follows:
Of these, 53 are alerts; 51 from Kampala, two (2) from Buvuma and Wakiso.
“In light of the spike in new cases in Kampala Metropolitan Area, this is evident that the rate of community transmission is high. The public is STRONGLY advised to take personal responsibility to avoid contracting COVID-19. The earlier we change our attitude and behavior towards COVID-19, the better for our health and nation,” warned the ministry.
The public is urged to wear a face mask at all times, and wear it properly- ensure that the nose, mouth and chin are fully covered, practice good hand hygiene and maintain a social distance whenever in public.
