RDC Asks Electorate to Vote Out Embattled Minister Kabafunzaki

The Rukiga Resident District Commissioner, Pulkeria Muhindo has publicly urged the residents of Rukiga County constituency not to vote Hon. Herbert Kabafunzaki, accusing him of incompetence.

The embattled legislator was the State Minister for Labor, Employment and industrial Relations until in 2017 when he was filmed soliciting a bribe before he was relieved of his duties.

Kabafunzaki was arrested at Serena Hotel Kampala while reportedly receiving a bribe of Shs 5 million from Mohammed Hamid, the chairman and the Managing Director of Aya Group of Companies.

Speaking at a function in Muhanga Town council on Saturday evening, RDC Pulkria Muhindo called on the people of Rukiga to vote out the embattled legislator for the good of the constituency.

“I want to urge you to keep our woman Mp in her seat but kindly assist and vote out Kabafunzaki” RDC Muhindo said.

Kabafunzaki is serving his first term as the Member of Parliament for Rukiga County in the tenth parliament. He is said to be seeking a second term.

At the function, the Rukiga District woman Member of Parliament Hon. Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi donated a consignment of medical equipment worth Shs 60 million.

The equipment will be distributed among the health centers in Rukiga District.


The distributed equipment among others include hospital beds, mattresses and theatre tables.
