Daniel Lubwama Kigozi alias Navio has opened up about his intentions to do music with American rapper Jay Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter.
Navio revealed this on Monday evening when he was hosted by NTV Press Box to talk about his musical carrier and sports, which he seems to have abandoned long time.
When Navio was asked which biggest name he would like to work, the ‘Ngalo’ rapper, without hesitation expressed love for Jay-Z saying working with the American rapper is next on his agenda.
“My next biggest collabo has to be with Jay Z of course, I have for the past years collaborated with big names but this time around, it has to be no one but Jay-Z,” expressed Navio.
Navio formed the Hip Hop group, Klear Kut with Tom ‘Tha Mith’ Mayanja, Jonathan ‘J-Baller’ Leslie, Abba ‘Langman’ Lang, and Habib Abdul Hussein better known as Papito.
The group made a breakthrough in 2009 after releasing their debut album, ‘Mind, Body and Soul’ and later generated several hit singles including ‘All I Wanna Know’ Ft Juliana Kanyomozi, ‘Remember’, and ‘Let’s Get It on’.
Navio has of late been undermined by new rappers in the industry such as Gravity Omutujju, Fefe Bussi and more for having failed to take the hip hop genre to the level every music lover would feel proud of.
That could be the reason Navio, when asked which Ugandan Rapper he would pick up a rap challenge with, he mentioned Gravity.
“I would teach Gravity Omutujju real rap if he dare tries to challenge me,” said Navio.
