Rams Rugby Club have today launched their new kit for the new rugby season.
The Makerere outfit recently entered a partnership with Kampala MRI and will have a new jersey in the new season.
Rams will also pocket 2 Million for players’ allowances from Velocity Bar and Grill.
The bar will also offer a 40% discount to Rams players and management for whatever they want to buy at the venue.
“This is a new season and we want to improve as a team,” team coach Richard Lumu told the press at the jersey launch in Kyanjja.
“We want to try and push for the top two positions this season,” the former Rugby Cranes Star added.
For years Rams have had to struggle in areas of players facilitation.
“We are now in a much better position and we are trying to ensure the players get them where we want them to be,”
Rams captain Emmanuel Kibirige is optimistic the new partnerships will help the side move in the right direction.
“We still have enough fire power to play well and these partnerships only make us better,” Kibirige said.
Meanwhile the team is also looking to register club members who will help in raising funds for the day to day running of the club.
Members will be expected to part with UGX10,000 and will have access to the team pitch for weekend workouts.
Rams will launch their new kit in their opening game of the season against Plascon Mongers at the Graveyard in Makerere.
