Rally driver Edwin Kalule has passed on after succumbing to injuries he sustained in an accident last week.
Kalule, the reigning two wheel drive champion, died on Monday morning after his health deteriorated at the Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.
The rally driver was knocked down last week by his friend, Susan Muwonge, during the southern Motor Club rally in Masaka.
Muwonge lost control of her car during the final stages and crashed into fans including Kalule who sustained serious injuries.
It was reported that Kalule suffered severe injuries to his ribs and chest and was later airlifted to Kampala to undergo further medication at Nsambya where he passed on.
The deceased started racing in 2015.
