Radio Murder Suspect Wamala Remanded

Entebbe chief magistrate Mary Kaitesi Lukwago has remanded to Kigo Prison Godfrey “Troy” Wamala, the man alleged to have assaulted and caused the death of artist Moses Sekibogo aka Mowzey Radio.

Wamala, a resident of Kyengera was arrested on Sunday night by Katwe Police officers at a friend’s home.

He is said to have slammed Radio onto the ground following a drunk altercation at De Bar in Entebbe.

The magistrate on Wednesday morning formally read murder charges to Wamala.

On being read the charges Wamala was warned not to say anything because the charges against him are capital in nature only triable and bailable by High court

Prosecution through Julius Muhiire informed court that investigations in the matter are still underway and asked for an adjournment.

Wamala will have to plead to these charges as soon as investigations are complete and  is committed to High court for trial.

The suspect is represented by renowned Human rights lawyer Ladislous Rwakafuuzi while Mowzey Radio’s family had John Bosco Mudde on watching brief.
