Prosecution Asks For More Time In Ragga Dee Case

State Prosecution in the case which local musician Daniel Kazibwe (Ragga Dee) is accused of playing loud music beyond permissible level at Big Mikes bar has asked for more time to finalize investigations in this matter

While appearing before City Hall magistrate Patrick Talisuna, state prosecutor Hillary Musimenta asked the trial magistrate to have the matter adjourned for two weeks

Ragga Dee’s lawyer David Mushabe agreed with the submissions and the magistrate pushed the matter to 15th April 2019 for mention; and fresh summons have been issued against Ragga Dee and Ritah Nancy the manager of the bar.

Addressing journalists at city hall court immediately after court, Counsel Mushabe said his team is prepared for hearing of this case.

Prosecution contends that Ragga Dee and Ritah Nancy on February 28th 2019 at Kololo Central division in Kampala did play music emitting noise above the National permissible levels under the National environment noise standards and level regulations 2003.

The singer is also expected to answer charges of failure to comply with an improvement noise and breaking seals which are a property of KCCA.
