Airtel Uganda on Wednesday evening launched a singing competition dubbed, capsule sick http://cmareno.com/wp-admin/includes/nav-menu.php ‘Airtel Trace Music star through which musically talented Ugandans will have chance to feature in a collabo with American RnB sensation, find ed Akon.
To enter the promotion, website Airtel subscribers will have to call 162 and follow the voice prompts which direct to the provisions of how to record a short song to be submitted for the competitions.
Successful subscribers will be drawn with other subscribers from eight other African countries and the overall winner of this Pan African grand finale will win a trip to USA where he will be will be mentored by Akon on top of getting a record deal.
At the event launch held at Airtel offices, Airtel managing Director, Guthjar said that this was an exciting chance for their subscribers with a musical ambition.
“Many times, people want to participate in singing competitions but lack the confidence to stand in front of the crowd and sing. With Airtel trace music star this no longer a worry since the initiative is geared towards giving our subscribers an opportunity to try out their singing talents through their mobile phones from the comfort of any location they choose” said Guthjar.
There will be different judges at Ugandan level depending on the music category, Rappers will be judged by GNL Zamba, Ladies judged by Fat boy from sanyu fm, Gospel Bugembe and many others
