President Yoweri Museveni has discussed with the British High Commissioner Peter West, bilateral issues between the United Kingdom and Uganda focusing on enhancing trade, investment and infrastructure development.
They also looked into regional peace processes.
During the meeting that took place yesterday at State House Entebbe, the President told the envoy that Uganda is interested in the importation and installation of machines that can process cereals, fruits, dairy, leather, wood and mineral products, among others.
High Commissioner Peter West assured the President that the UK is willing to help in the development of Industrial Park sites such as that one in Namanve, boosting the agricultural sector as well as agro-processing.
The President and his guest also deliberated on the peace process in neighboring South Sudan.
