The Office of the President on Friday handed over a new office block constructed at Shs638m to the Adjumani Resident District Commissioner.
Mr Emmanuel Amaza, the director of Hotel Zawadi Limited, the company contracted to construct the office, officially handed it over to Mr Oya Nahori, the RDC.
Speaking during the handover ceremony which was attended by district leaders, officials from the Office of the President and Ministry of Works, Mr Oya said the new office will ease his work because he will be accessible to the public.
Ms Josephine Atoo, the Adjumani secretary for finances said the United Nations High Commissioner is expected to procure furniture for the office block.
Mr Christopher Drate, the district engineer, said the contractor has achieved 98.8 percent of the work before the structure was declared fit for use.
