Practice Match: Hippos Obliterate Cubs at Njeru

Uganda Hippos (U-20) 5-2 Uganda Cubs (U-17)

In their preparations for their forthcoming respective AFCON zonal qualifiers, Uganda Hippos overhauled Uganda Cubs 5-2 in a closed door practice match played on Sunday at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Richard Basangwa grabbed a brace for the U-20 side while the other three strikes came through Derrick Kakooza, Najb Yiga and Raymond Derrick Onyai.

Travis Mutyaba and Abbas Kyeyune scored the two goals for Uganda Cubs (U-17) during a free scoring encounter played in Jinja.

The practice game was the second for the Hippos following their 3-3 draw with KCCA FC played on Wednesday last week at the MTN Omondi stadium.

The Hippos are in preparations for the CAF U-20 CECAFA Zonal Qualification Tournament which is scheduled for 23rd November – 6th December 2020 in Arusha, Tanzania.

The Uganda Cubs are also preparing for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Zonal qualifiers slated for 13th – 28th December in Rwanda.
