Police Still Perplexed by Murder of Officers in Kasese

Police are still dumbfounded by the manner in which 2 police officers were this week murdered in Kasese district.

The deceased are Ronald Karemera from Ibanda and Dawson Tweheyo from Bushenyi, and both working under the Uganda Tourism Police Unit.

These were on duty at Simba Safari Lodges in Kikorongo, in Queen Elizabeth National Park were killed in cold blood on Sunday night by unknown people.

Speaking at the burial of Ronald Karemeera in Bisheshe, Ibanda municipality, The Tourism Police Commander Wilson Omoding said they were yet to come to the bottom of the cold blood murder.

Omoding who represented the Inspector General of police Kale Kayihura, said they suspect a group of 6 people murdered the officers after they gave them something intoxicating to drink.

He added that some body parts were taken to Kampala for further investigations.

Omoding urged fellow police officers to be extra careful while on duty.
