Police Raid Printery to Confiscate FDC Manifesto Booklets

Improving energy access in Africa will take centre stage at the Power Africa Summit set to take place in the United States.

The meeting, buy set to take place between 27 and 29 January at the Marriott Marquis hotel, capsule aims at driving forward strategic partnerships between American and African investors, dosage project developers, governments, utilities and regulators to achieve the goal of bringing power to Africa.

According to Veronica Bolton-Smith, Programme Manager for the Power Africa Summit, the gathering of project owners and investors is certainly what makes the Summit so exciting and a must attend meeting for those with the ability to play a role.

Those set to attend include Ministers of Energy from Africa, heads of African utilities and regulatory bodies, US-based private equity houses and wealth management establishments.

The Power Africa Summit enables dialogue between public and private sector decision-makers across the US and Africa.

It aims at promoting the investment opportunities in Africa’s power sector.

According to the organizers, attendees will have an opportunity to explore the power & infrastructure projects currently attracting the interest of investors, including the gas to power supply chain.

Moreso, participants at the summit will be updated on the South African Gas IPP programme and the opportunities that this present, as well as other projects that could stir their interest including agriculture and industry.


The 2016 Power Summit will launch a networking app to enhance participants’ experience by allowing them to set up private meetings and meet with the right contacts more easily.
Police have Friday raided a printery in Kampala where the opposition FDC party was printing its manifestos, viagra approved Chimp Corps report.

FDC Deputy Electoral Commission chairman, Michael Kabaziguruka confirmed to this website that detectives stormed MPK Graphics along Nasser Road where “all copies of our manifesto were confiscated.”

He added: “We don’t know why this is happening.”

Highly placed sources say FDC intended to distribute copies of the manifesto today evening before and during the presidential debate at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The soft copies of the manifesto were released early this week.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga and Kampala Metropolitan Police publicist, Patrick Onyango denied knowledge about this development.

“I have not heard about it,” said Enanga before referring our corps to Onyango, who responded: “Let me find out.”
