Following the passing of singer Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio at Case Clinic this morning, police have amended the charges against the person who assaulted the deceased from Grievous Harm to Murder.
Radio died of head injuries he suffered in a fight he had with a man — allegedly a bouncer — at De Bar in Entebbe on January 23.
While the suspect who police identified as Godfrey Wamala is on the run, Police held two people including the bar manager to help in the investigations.
“The hunt for Godfrey Wamala, the key suspect who is currently on the run is still on and as soon as he is arrested he will be brought before court to face the charges against him,” Owesigire said.
The police mouthpiece named the other two people in police custody as Xavier Lukele and Egesa George (bar owner) who are held at Entebbe Police Station.
Addressing press at Case Clinic, Balaam Barugahare, an events manager revealed that Police asked for the body to be taken to City Mortuary for post mortem, whose report will be relied on in prosecuting the suspects.
The body is currently at the mortuary from where it will be taken to his home in Makindye for the vigil.
