Police Confirm Shirt Numbers For 2020/21 Season Squad

Uganda Premier League side Police Football Club has officially announced the new squad numbers going into the 2020/2021 season.

This follows a head-turning player recruitment exercise in the transfer window coupled with a few departures which calls for a change in shirt numbers from those of the previous campaign.

The Cops have landed a couple of players in goalkeepers Derrick Ochan, Sammon Oloka, and Tom Ikara, defenders Hassan Mahmood, Eric Ssenjobe and Musa Matovu.

Police has also captured midfielders in Tony Mawejje, Frank Tumwesigye “Zzaga”, Muwada Mawejje, Duncan Senninde, alongside strikers; Edward Kiryowa, Adam Mutesasira and Mubarak Nsubuga.

Head coach Abdullah Mubiru has come out to highlight the team’s preparedness and readliness for this coming season.

“We thank God for enabling us collect the players. I have full trust in the commitment and ability of all the players. We have a balanced team of experienced and upcoming talents who are focused to do us a good job,” Mubiru told the club website.

He added, “We are only praying for God’s mercy and guidance for better results this coming season. Our Cops have been allocated shirt numbers which will be reflected on the club’s new jersey this season.
