Police is holding 20 people in connection with burning down boda boda 2010 offices in Kampala on Monday.
According to the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Lucas Owoyesigire, the suspects are being held at different police stations in Kampala.
“They are held at Wandegeya police, Natete, Katwe and Nsangi Police Stations,” said Owoyesigyire in an interview.
He also revealed to this website that police also recovered 150 motorcycles from boda boda 2010 offices in the different divisions of Kampala.
More 50 motorcycles, he added, were seized from boda boda men who Monday set ablaze the offices of boda 2010 in Wakaliga.
Boda boda riders in Kampala yesterday set ablaze several offices belonging to the Boda Boda 2010 militia after the outfit’s commander Abdallah Kitatta and 29 others were arrested by the military this past weekend.
The attacks on Boda Boda 2010 premises were more pronounced in Rubaga, Makindye and Bukesa.
Furniture, office equipment and other items found in the offices were set on fire in what appeared as revenge attacks against the dreaded group.
Boda Boda 2010 is accused of extortion and perpetrating a reign of terror in Kampala.
