Uganda Cranes budding midfielder Moses Opondo was in action for his club side Odense 1-2 victory over Lyngby in the Danish Superliga on Monday grabbing an assist for his troubles.
Opondo assisted Troels Klove in the 41st minute before he was replaced by Anders Klynge a minute after the restart.
Sander Svendsen scored Odense’s second goal on the 58th minute mark turning Rezan Corlu’s early strike for the hosts into a mere consolation.
Victory guided Odense to 9th on the 14 team log with 33 points from 26 games, going one point ahead of Lyngby in the 10th position.
Opondo will return to action next week on Monday 29th of June when both sides face in the return leg at Nature Energy Park.
Elsewhere, Faruku Miya was an unused substitute as his Konyaspor FC side drew 2-2 at home with Sivasspor in the Turkish Premier League.
Timothy Awany featured for the entire 90 minutes as his Ashdod FC side drew 3-3 with Bnei Yehuda in Israel.
In the Slovakia Super League, Isaac Muleme came on for Vrabel Ondrej in the 66th minute as his FC Nitra downed Senica 2-0.
